"SEA & SKY"
March 3rd - 5 to 8
Come to the next opening exhibit in the DAC and be amazed at the unique and beautiful photography by our own Jaime Moore!
Jaime has been devoting time to growing as an artist and as a photographer for the last decade. She has exhibited in several group and photography exhibits over the last several years. Her photographs have been recognized with a number of awards throughout the region. She became a member of the DAC in 2015 and “Sea and Sky” is her first solo exhibit.
Of her first solo exhibit “Sea and Sky” Jaime says, “To me, nothing brings more energy and spell-bounding beauty than the sea and sky. From beautiful sunsets, ethereal hypnotic clouds, objects in view and ever changing waves, this is truly God’s gift for the senses. I hope that you enjoy my photographs and that they give you peace and lift your spirit.”
The DAC will be serving up fabulous appetizers, punch and wine during the opening reception. As always, the DAC opening is a central part of Clarksville’s First Thursday Art Walk, a wonderful evening of art, music and more in beautiful Historic Downtown Clarksville. First Thursday Art Walk occurs regularly on the first Thursday of each month.
Mark Grigg's is planning to have a workshop in how to CUT your own mats for your paintings and photography. Mark has a special and "easy" way of doing it. The workshop will be this month on Saturday, Feb 25th @ 10am in the gallery.
Just knowing Mark's easier way to cut a mat is worth a lot and can save you money in the long run.
More details about the workshop a little later on in the month and if there is a fee to defray the cost of the supplies or the workshop.
