DAC Member Larry Richardson presents
Railroad Exhibit at Planters Bank . . .
"Growing up in a small town centered around the railroad, I was mesmerized by the big steam locomotives. My parents ran a corner grocery and sometimes the train crew would walk over and eat lunch outside while their black engine sat belching spurts of steam as the pressure was released from the boiler. A fast passenger train would go by while the freight rested on the sidetrack. With three long and one short blast from the steam whistle, the train would begin its journey on down the line, click-clack the steel rails would sing."
A new "railroad" exhibit of Larry's work will be on display at Planters Bank, 1971 Madison Street in Clarksville Sept. 1 through Oct. 5. Come see it!
