2020 Annual Regional Juried Photography Exhibition
DAC Sponsors 3 Juried Art Events Annually!

Invitation to Participate:
You are invited to participate in the annual Downtown Artists’ Co-op Regional Juried Photography Exposition to be held February 6-28, at the Downtown Artists’ Co-op Gallery, 96 Franklin Street, Clarksville, TN 37040.
Who may enter / eligibility:
Artists 18 years or older residing in the region may enter. Work must have been completed within the past 3 years. All work must be original and not produced in a workshop or class with the help of an instructor.
Risk and Liability:
Signature on entry form constitutes agreement by the entrant that there shall be no liability on the part of the Downtown Artists’ Co-op (DAC) or any members or sponsors for loss, damage, or destruction of any works. Insurance of artwork is the sole responsibility of the participating entrant.
Artists may submit a total of 3 works. Categories are:
3. Still Life/Interiors
4. Human Portrait/Figure
5. Alternative Process: Original image captured on film. Examples – Van Dyke Brown, Cyanotype, Liquid Emulsion, Polaroid, Infrared, Tintype
Framing and Limitations:
All works entered must be gallery-ready for hanging using wire. All photographs, including work on metal or glass, must comply with the DAC gallery hanging system. Saw-tooth or other alternative hanging mechanisms will not be accepted.
Entry Fee and Procedures:
An artist may enter up to 3 works for the following non-refundable fees: $20 for the first entry, $15 for the second piece, and $10 for the third. Checks should be made payable to DAC and are to accompany the entry form and work. Entry forms and fees must be received by 5:00 p.m. Saturday, February 1.
While entry into the exposition is non-juried, the exposition will be juried for awards. Cash awards will be given for Best of Show, First, and Second Place in each category. Third Place cash awards and Honorable Mention ribbons may be given at the discretion of the juror. The amount of awards will be based on entry fee receipts and sponsorships.
Delivery of Art Work:
All work must be hand-delivered to the DAC Gallery at 96 Franklin Street in Clarksville Friday, January 31, between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., or Saturday, February 1, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
All sales are handled through DAC. The Co-op will receive a 25% commission on all work sold during the show. All work should be priced for sale.
Removal of Work:
Work must remain on display in the Gallery until the end of the Exposition and must be picked up only on Friday, February 28, between 1:00 and 5:00 or Saturday, February 29, between 9:00 and 5:00.
About the Juror:
Robert McCurley was born and raised in the South and spent most of his life earning a living in corporate America. He supplemented his income with wedding and portrait photography. Today, he is focused solely on personal artistic endeavors. His photographic education includes classes at the former Southeastern Center for the Photographic Arts in Atlanta, GA, workshops with Keith Carter and Magnum photographers David Alan Harvey and Alex Webb as well as countless hours studying the work of influential artists. His photographs have been exhibited in a variety of venues and galleries across the U.S. Robert has served as a juror and curator of photography exhibits and is a founding member of Southlight Salon.
